Matt Hall is a freelance artist and illustrator from Vancouver, British Columbia.
In his art, Matt focuses on urban sketching and watercolour illustration. He also designs promotional material for various clients, and develops products for the tourism industry.
He has lived in the Azores and mainland Portugal, as well as New Zealand and Quebec City. After university, he travelled throughout Canada and worked in the hotel industry in Jasper, Lake Louise, and Halifax.
He has a degree in art history from the University of British Columbia, where he focused on Canadian art, including Canadian Impressionism and First Nations art of coastal BC
He enjoys tennis, biking, and hiking, and is an avid fan of the Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Blue Jays.
In Vancouver, you can often find him drawing in Stanley Park and along the seawall.
